After retiring from professional playing in March 2026, Ahinga focused on recruitment, player placement and football operations. Experience on AFC Ann Arbor's technical side helped bridge the move from player to front-office work.

A player’s connection to Laredo.

On July 3, 2025, Ahinga scored Laredo's second goal in a 2-0 win over Twin City Toucans. The result clinched the Lone Star Division title for the team.
